About Stretton Eagles Junior Football Club (SEJFC)

Stretton Eagles JFC is a junior football club based in Stretton, near Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
Founded in 1995, Stretton Eagles began as a single team and has since expanded to have teams in most of the age groups available.

We are affiliated to Birmingham FA and have FA Accreditation, which means that we have achieved all the relevant requirements set out by the FA. Every year the Club has to conduct a health check to satisfy its obligations to the FA.

The overall vision of the club is to provide a safe, friendly and fun environment for young people of all ages, genders, abilities and ethnicities to play football. Although we do not play to lose, our emphasis is on allowing the children to have FUN whilst expressing their ability, skill and flair.

Like most grassroots clubs, Stretton Eagles is run entirely by volunteers, for the benefit of the local community. If you would like to become involved in any capacity, please get in touch with our committee to see what you could do to help.

Club Core Values

In building the long term future of the Club we have developed a set of core values which sit at the heart of all we do. These core values are a clear set of statements on how the Club expects its members to act towards each other and those who they come into contact with. These are the behaviours that define our club culture.

Supportive

Encouraging
Encouraging We will all encourage each other to be our best and help each other develop to meet our full potential. - Everyone will lead by example to promote positive behaviours.

Joint Effort

Be known as a friendly and inclusive club, - promoting good behaviour and respect for others.

Community
Club Officers, players and parents feel part of a club rather than their age group team with a shared objective to support grassroots football in Stretton.

Information For Parents

We ask that parents adhere to the information below for the safety and well being of all of our players:

  • Shin pads must be worn during all matches, friendlies and training sessions
  • Footwear appropriate to the playing surface must be worn. If in doubt, please consult with your child's Manager, as referees do carry out spot checks.
  • It is essential to bring your child a drink to all training sessions and matches.
  • Dress your child appropriately for the weather conditions. Skins or base layers are advised during the colder months for match/training days, as well as a jacket for when not on the pitch.
  • Sun cream should always be worn during the hot summer weather and a hat used to protect the player from the sun.
  • Ensure your child has available at all times any inhalers or epi-pens that have been prescribed.
  • Players must remove all jewellery (including necklaces, rings, bracelets, leather bands and earrings) for training sessions and matches. Failure to do so will prevent them from participating in training or matches.
  • Please advise the coach if your child has been suffering with any types of aches and pains before or after the game/training session.

The FA Respect Scheme

We only do Positive Campaign – FA Campaign

"We Only Do Positive" is The FA’s strategic approach to emphasise the importance of positive behaviour and environments for young footballers involved in mini-soccer and youth football, both on and off the pitch.

We all have to work together to create the right environment. We Only Do Positive’ aims to improve behaviour on touchlines across the country by raising awareness of Respect among parents, coaches, volunteers and players, and outlining their roles in creating a fun, safe and inclusive environment for players.

We'd like to remind all parents that Match Officials (including referees), Managers, Assistant Managers, Players, and other Parents must be treated with respect.

Many referees are still minors themselves, and as such, abuse directed at them is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

Signing the RESPECT Code of Conduct forms part of the annual registration and shows your support to the FA’s “We only do positive” campaign.
